Glamis is a great spot, with wonderful sand dunes. It once had a post office that operated from 1886 to 1888, 1899 to 1901, 1917 to 1920, 1921 to 1923, and from 1940. Interestingly, the community was named for Glamis Castle in Scotland, which was made famous by the Shakespearean play Macbeth.

Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada is full of all kinds of great scenery. Just north of Las Vegas, you're in a magical land. I first visited the park in 2000 with my sister and we laughed so much I think we missed a few things. Sisters are like that =)
