A single white rose, is all you need. One of my new favourites. simple, yet beautiful.
The Salton Sea had some success as a resort area back in the '50's, with Salton City, Salton Sea Beach, and Desert Shores, on the western shore and Desert Beach, North Shore, and Bombay Beach, built on the eastern shore. However, many of the settlements substantially shrank in size, or have been abandoned, mostly due to the increasing salinity and pollution of the lake. No fishing to be done here now.
Glamis is a great spot, with wonderful sand dunes. It once had a post office that operated from 1886 to 1888, 1899 to 1901, 1917 to 1920, 1921 to 1923, and from 1940. Interestingly, the community was named for Glamis Castle in Scotland, which was made famous by the Shakespearean play Macbeth.
