Great horned owls

Great horned owls are one of the earliest spring nesting birds; eggs may be laid in January or February through April. They use abandoned stick nests of a hawk or heron or crow, but also nest in saguaro cactus' like this.

It looms above. The bummer about this day is visitors were not allowed to climb to the top (there wouldn't have been a view anyway, but the inside of this watchtower is still pretty cool)

Welcome to Tombstone, Arizona. According to one website, it's the most authentic Western town left in the USA. Oh sure, some of town is a little kitchy. And the characters sure play up their part. So what? It's kind of fun to see and feel what might have been in the late 1800's.
