The Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles is a wonderful piece of architecture by Frank Gehry
Peaking out behind the display of flowers, this structure can be seen throughout the city. Built to honor George Washington, the United States' first president, the 555-foot marble obelisk towers above all monuments for the past 136 years.
One of my favourite Canadian artist, Claude Theberge, featured umbrellas prominently in his work. I still love his stuff and maybe just maybe that was the inspiration for this. Well that, and the great display in SLC.
