Dust to dust, to dust
The man rises from a dust storm, with the promise of blue sky
Theodora 2048 - The Robot Bride
This is one of my favourites from 2018 by artist xing zhang.
A simple, rusted, tree. An elegant, shiny, human form. Technology and nature can clash, collide, or evolve — the interpretation of our future can be as diverse, and graceful, as we want it to be. Art by Alex McLean
This dude was 104 feet tall so you can imagine the blazing fire and flames on burn night. Crazy! This was our first burn and we were simply giddy.
This art installation was by Jessica Levine. The description on BurningMan.org: Her roots correlate with all of the deepest parts of ourselves–the buried parts, which make us who we are. Exposing the roots and making them a part of the blossom at the top represents the idea that everything is an integral part of the whole self, even (and especially) the buried parts–not just the pretty flowery surface parts.
Deep playa break
Take a load off and rest up for the ride
The Temple of Grace
And she graced the playa with her presence. A beautiful delicate piece of art at Burning Man 2014.
Dry playa, Black Rock City, Nevada
Shelter for the storm
These delicate lotus flowers were a nice place to park it for a few.
Cool little scene on the playa
People meeting up and sharing an experience and having their minds blown
Catacomb of Veils
It's beauty was seen from within and can be seen for miles. One of the people behind this piece looks to the sky.
Our first trip out to Burning Man 2011 and all the art just blew me away! This is just one of the hundreds of pieces out on the playa.
Checking out center camp in 2013
Burning Man 2013
The Man goes up at the end of the week. People gather all around the base for as far as you can see. Some sit quietly, others party throughout. All enjoy the view.
