Oh My God! was the first Art Car created by artist and filmmaker Harrod Blank. At the age of 16, Blank painted a rooster on the driver’s door. He never stopped decorating the car, which ultimately served as the springboard to his career in building Art Cars and documenting the Art Car movement. Sadly, this vehicle was damaged the following year while traveling back to Burning Man. It is now on display at the Art Car World in Douglas, AZ.
The build for Le Attrata took about nine months and a crew of 30 people. “This was an amazing group effort,” Therm founder Justin Gray says. “We got all these incredible, talented, brilliant people, and that was why it was built … In my opinion, this is fine art, and that’s why I got on board.”
This 2016 art project was a larger than life collaboration sculpture between Reno artists Mischell Riley aka Phoenix Rising and Colin O'Bryan aka Wrecking House. The interactive statue was inspired in part by the da Vinci Workshop theme of the festival.
